We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Coordinator at our Perth CBD Office, on a Full-Time Permanent basis.

About this role


This role sits within the Network and Corporate Technology area within Commercial. This team is responsible for end to end Procurement and Contract Lifecycle Management from Category Management to Sourcing, Contract award ongoing Contract Management and close out. This end to end process is governed by Western Powers internal Contract Lifecycle Management Framework (CLMF).


The role supports the area in line with the Contract Management Framework and effective delivery of contract administration services to support the objectives of the business in line with the procurement standards, policies and guidelines. Below is a list of tasks performed within the role.

  • Assist the Sourcing Specialists with low-risk source to contract activities within ICT and emerging technology space to achieve the best commercial outcome for Western Power.
  • Responsible for data management of sourcing and contract documentation related information into corporate systems, e-procurement tools and systems.
  • Contract record creation and information updating into Contract Management System.
  • Financial reporting on existing contracts and other system / data reporting as required.
  • Manage and maintain contract management filing systems and be able to manage contract documents in accordance with Western Power record keeping practices.
  • Raise Purchase Orders against quotes or statements of work in Ariba system.
  • Assistance where required with panel reporting and panel sourcing activities, this may include review of Statements of work.
  • Prepare and manage contractual correspondence to suppliers (local, interstate and overseas) including letters, amendments and notices.
  • Assistance in preparing Quarterly meeting artifacts and agendas.
  • Manage the shared mailbox and action items accordingly or assign to appropriate Contract Manager/Specialist.
  • Assisting the Software Analyst with annual software contract renewals and negotiations.
  • Perform general administrative duties as required; and
  • Support the team peers in respect to developing contract documentation.

About you


We are seeking someone with experience and attributes that include:


  • Degree qualified in Procurement, Contract, Business, Finance and/or related discipline and/or suitable demonstrated/industry experience.
  • Experience in establishing and managing supplier relationships.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • An understanding of risk and compliance management and its application with respect to procurement
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills.
  • Demonstrated good contract management governance and documentation skills.
  • At least 2 to 3 years’ experience and knowledge in sourcing and contract management governance and documentation support services 
  • Working knowledge of general contract law principles and contract terms and conditions
