We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Fleet Inspection & Commissioning Officer at Kewdale, on a Permanent Full-Time basis.
About this role
As the Fleet Inspection & Commissioning Officer you will be required to commission and inspect new and in service fleet units for compliance to regulatory and Western Power specification and design/ deliver specialised heavy vehicle and plant training to Western Power operators.
- Train operators and maintenance staff to the required competency to operate plant and equipment on the electrical network.
- Timely development of in-house training packages to meet unit commissioning target dates.
- Inspect and commission fleet units into service against the required standard and specification.
- Maintain close working relationships with operations operators to keep up to date with required work practices and local issues with the application of fleet equipment.
- Work to the “Fleet in Service Schedule” for new plant and equipment.
- Assist Fleet Engineer and Fleet Inspector as required.
About you
We are seeking someone with experience and attributes that include:
- AQF 3 Trade Qualification.
- AQF 4 Train the Trainer Qualification.
- Valid WA Driver’s License Class ‘HR’
- Crane Licence C2/ EWP Licence/ Forklift License/ Dogging License/ Network Card is essential.
- Significant industry experience with plant and equipment used in maintaining an electrical network.
- Maintain a high safety standard for self and others in the operation of plant and equipment.
- Ability to work unsupervised and in remote locations.
- Excellent report writing and investigation skills for vehicle and plant incidents.
- Formal qualifications in training, engineering or technical safety discipline.
- Significant industry experience with plant and equipment used in maintaining an electrical network.
- Significant industry experience in the repair and service of plant and equipment used in maintaining an electrical network.
