As our Payroll Coordinator, you'll be at the heart of our payroll operations, ensuring every paycheck is accurate and delivered on time. You'll handle end-to-end payroll processing with precision, acting as the go-to expert for complex payroll inquiries and providing insightful advice to employees and leaders.

 

What you’ll do:

 

  • Efficient Payroll Management: Handle fortnightly payroll with precision and ensure all disbursements are prompt.
  • Expert Support: Resolve complex payroll queries and provide valuable advice to employees and leaders.
  • Policy and Legislation Mastery: Understand and interpret industrial agreements and HR policies; stay updated on legislative changes impacting payroll.
  • Roster Coordination: Oversee and clarify roster arrangements to ensure clear communication.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement enhancements to streamline payroll processes.
  • Documentation: Develop and maintain accurate process documentation.
  • Collaboration: Support your team through peak periods with a positive, calm approach.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Deliver top-notch support on payroll, leave, superannuation, and other related matters.

What you’ll bring:

 

  • Demonstrated experience in a senior payroll position in a large, complex organisation – including award interpretation, rostering and shift work, overtime and allowance claims, reimbursements, and salary packaging.
  • In depth use of payroll systems: e.g., Ellipse, SAP, Oracle or Alesco
  • Demonstrated success in implementing process improvements and documenting work instructions for others.
  • Comprehensive and deep knowledge of Australian payroll legislative requirements
  • Completion of Payroll Management Certificate (or relevant tertiary qualification) not essential but welcomed.
