We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Power Systems Protection Technician, at our South Metro Depot in Forrestdale and our Picton Depot, on a permanent full-time basis.
About this role
As the Power Systems Protection Technician, you will be required to carry out commissioning and maintenance activities with a low to moderate level of technical complexity associated with the Transmission and Distribution Power System Protection Systems both within and external to the Western Power Business.
About you
We are seeking someone with experience and attributes that include:
- Must have an unrestricted electrical worker’s license (WA Electrician’s Licence) – essential.
- At least 4 + years or more experience
- A reasonable understanding of operational Transmission and Distribution power systems.
- Previous experience in the Power Utility industry.
- Basic knowledge of power system Secondary equipment commissioning practices.
- Basic knowledge of power system Secondary equipment maintenance practices.
- Knowledge and compliance with Safety regulations and practices.
- Computer literacy
- Valid WA Driver’s License Class ‘C’ or ‘C-A’
