This is a unique and exciting time to be a Senior Solution Architect in the Digital Products team at Western Power. We're transforming the electricity network ensuring a cleaner, brighter and more resilient energy supply for the next generation.
We are looking for an experienced, motivated Senior Solution Architect who can work in a forward-thinking environment and collaborate with suppliers and our business colleagues. This is a permanent full-time role, based in our Perth CBD office.
Our technology delivery has commenced the transition to a ‘product’ model which closely aligns with business outcomes and allows for better collaboration with our colleagues throughout our business’ value chain.
About your next role
As the Senior Solution Architect, you will be primarily accountable for directing external service providers in the development of high-level and detailed technical designs for solutions and performing quality assurance on their outputs. This will be achieved by utilising subject matter expertise and knowledge of cloud services and infrastructure technology components used in Western Power.
This position possesses the expertise and experience to ensure that high-level and detailed technical designs satisfy business expectations and comply with Western Power’s Technology standards. The role also provides ongoing guidance to external and internal developers and configuration specialists during delivery.
What will you bring?
- Bachelor’s degree or Post Graduate qualifications in Computer Science, Systems Analysis, or other related study, or equivalent experience.
- Extensive experience in managing and working with external service providers in the design and delivery of complex solutions.
- Extensive experience in solution architecture with significant experience in design and maintenance within a large ICT organisation
- Strong customer focus with commercial awareness and strategic thinking capability
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Interpersonal and influencing skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation and negotiation.
