Design After Diversity Maximum Demand (DADMD) is the maximum demand which the electrical distribution network (local transformer) is capable of supplying expressed as an average per dwelling. The DADMD calculator determines the maximum power requirements for a proposed subdivision.

The Maximum Demand Calculator is to assist developers in calculating subdivision load requirements. This calculator is not to be used to determine or calculate an individual customer’s maximum demand. Calculations for an individual customer’s maximum demand must be determined via AS/NZS 3000.

These DADMD values are the equivalent of a Western Power standard supply per lot or dwelling unit. Where electrical design calculations show the house or unit requires more than a Western Power standard supply per lot or dwelling unit these calculations can form the basis of a capacity request to Western Power.
